Present for the unscripted.
A trained eye for gesture, movement, and the quiet exchanges that give a wedding its emotional texture.
Refined portraiture, unscripted moments, and a calm photographic presence for weddings in Birmingham and celebrations far beyond it.
A trained eye for gesture, movement, and the quiet exchanges that give a wedding its emotional texture.
Clear guidance when it helps, with enough room for portraits to feel composed without feeling over-managed.
Natural light when it is beautiful. Controlled light when the room, weather, or schedule asks for more.
Experience you can feel
The point of experience is not a résumé. It is knowing when to step in, when to disappear, and how to keep making strong photographs when the light, weather, or timeline changes.
My background in ballet, studio portraiture, live events, and motion has shaped a way of working that is observant, decisive, and calm—so the photography supports the day rather than taking it over.

Destination story · Red Feather Lakes, Colorado
Isabella and Tim rode into the Colorado mountains to exchange vows at an overlook, with their officiant, two photographers, ranch hands, and a small group of horses making up the day.
It is exactly what destination work should feel like to me: not a familiar wedding transplanted somewhere scenic, but a celebration shaped by the place itself.
What the work requires
Live performance develops the ability to see a gesture, reaction, or shift in energy before it fully happens.
Clear, economical guidance creates flattering portraits without making photographs feel stiff or over-managed.
When ambient light is beautiful, I preserve it. When it is not, I can build controlled light deliberately.

The art of timing
Photographing ballet changed the way I see people. Hands, posture, rhythm, negative space, and the instant a movement becomes expressive all matter.
A considered process
We discuss the people, priorities, visual direction, and moments that matter most to you.
I coordinate timing, portrait locations, lighting considerations, and family groupings before the wedding day.
I direct when clarity helps, then step back when real interaction is more important than intervention.
Your images are refined for consistency, longevity, and a cohesive story rather than short-lived trends.

Share your date, location, and what you want the photographs to feel like. You will receive a personal response rather than an automated sales sequence.
